Welcome to Planr! We’re excited to be your companion on your financial journey. Before you dive in, here are the most important points of our agreement in simple terms:
Planr is Your Tool, Not Your Advisor. Planr is a powerful calculator and planning tool to help you organize your finances. We provide insights and calculations based on the data you provide, but we do not provide professional financial, legal, or tax advice.
You Are in Control of Your Data. Planr works with the information you manually enter. We do not link to your bank accounts. You own your data, and you can permanently delete it at any time.
Data Minimization: We built Planr so there is 'nothing to steal.' Because we don't link to your bank accounts and you aren't required to provide sensitive identification (like home addresses) to use the app, your core identity remains protected by design.
Our Marketplace is a Venue. We connect you with vetted financial advisors, but your relationship with them is your own. We are not a party to your agreements or consultations.
You Use the Service Responsibly. You agree not to use Planr for any illegal activities and to provide accurate information to the best of your ability to get the most out of the app.
We Are Not Liable for Your Losses. Planr is a tool to help you plan, but we are not responsible for the outcomes of your financial decisions or for any advice you receive from Financial Advisors on our Marketplace. We are there to guide you in your personal/household financial planning journey, but your financial success ultimately depends on you.
The full legal terms below provide the complete details. By using Planr, you are agreeing to these terms.
By creating an Account and using the Planr Application (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Interpretation and Definitions
Capitalized terms used in these Terms have the meanings defined in our Privacy Policy or as defined below.
Marketplace refers to the feature within the Service that allows Users to find and book consultations with third-party Financial Advisors.
User Content means all information that you manually input into the Service, including but not limited to, financial data, transactions, goals, and personal notes.
The Planr Service
3.1 A Planning and Tracking Tool
Planr is a personal finance management tool that allows you to manually track your income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and financial goals. The Service provides calculations, visualizations, and informational insights based solely on the User Content you provide.
3.2 No Financial, Legal, or Tax Advice (From the App)
Planr is a financial planning tool designed to help you organize your finances, not a financial advisor. We provide calculations and insights based on the information you enter, but we do not provide professional financial, legal, or tax advice. They should not be relied upon as the sole basis for making investment decisions.
The platform does not provide regulated financial advisory services under the Singapore Financial Advisers Act and is not registered as a financial advisor with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission.
Our features, including Retirement Sustainability models, Safe Withdrawal Rate estimates, Net Retirement Capital formulas, Retirement Fund Needed, and Education Future Value provide helpful estimates based on your manual data entry, historical market averages, and established financial planning frameworks. Please note that these are estimates, not guarantees, and your actual financial outcomes may differ due to factors such as changes in inflation rates or tax laws, actual investment returns compared to projections, health or life changes, and the accuracy of your manual data entry.
If you require personalized financial advice tailored to your specific situation, Planr offers access to licensed financial advisors through our Marketplace, which differs from our automated planning tools covered in this section.
App's automated features: General estimates, not personalized advice.
Marketplace advisors: Licensed professionals who can provide personalized advice (see Section 6 for Marketplace terms)
Advisors in our Marketplace must hold valid licenses (MAS-licensed in Singapore; SEC-registered in Philippines), but your engagement with any advisor constitutes a separate agreement between you and the advisor. Planr is not a party to this relationship and is not liable for the advisor's advice or your financial outcomes (see Section 6).
You remain in control of your financial decisions. Planr supports your financial journey by providing planning and tracking tools, and optionally connecting you with licensed advisors through our Marketplace, but you make the final decisions about your money. We are here to assist at every step, but professional advice should be sought when needed.
3.3 Manual Data Entry
You acknowledge that Planr's calculations, projections, and analyses are only as accurate as your manual input. You assume full responsibility for verifying the accuracy of your financial data before relying on any outputs. Planr is not liable for financial losses, investment errors, or planning failures resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or outdated User Content you provide.
Planr does not link to your bank, brokerage, or other financial accounts. Planr is a planning tool only; we are not involved in any physical transfer of money and not privy to any actual investment placement.
Planr is strictly a planning and organizational tool. We are not privy to, nor are we a party to, any private transactions or contracts (including but not limited to investment placements, insurance policies, or estate planning) that occur between you and any third party. If you choose to share your contact details or enter into a contract with an agent found through the Marketplace, you do so independently of Planr
3.4 Future Third-Party Integrations
The Service may in the future offer integrations with third-party services, such as banking or insurance institutions. Such integrations may be governed by separate or tripartite agreements between you, the Company, and the third party. Your use of such integrations will be subject to the terms and privacy policies of those third parties. We are not responsible for the data practices, content, or services of any third party. We will notify you of any material changes to our data collection practices as described in our Privacy Policy should such features be introduced.
User Accounts
To use the Service, you must create an Account. You agree to provide limited but accurate and current information during the registration process. However, ordinary users are not required to provide details such as home addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, or social media accounts. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials, maintaining the security of any methods used for account recovery, and for all activities that occur under your Account.
You acknowledge and agree that any identifiable information provided to the Company through the Website (such as an email address for launch updates) is stored in a siloed environment. The Company has no means of connecting Website-provided information to Application-based User Content. Creating an Account in the Application remains a completely anonymous act, independent of any prior or subsequent interaction with the Company’s Website.
Planr complies with both the Philippines Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). Your data rights (access, correction, withdrawal of consent, deletion, and data portability for Singapore users) are detailed in our Privacy Policy. Full details on your data rights and our DPO contact information are in our Privacy Policy.
4.1 Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with parental or guardian consent. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these age requirements.
Subscriptions and Fees
5.1 Basic and Premium Plans
Planr may offer both a free-to-use "Basic" plan and a subscription-based "Premium" plan. Features available under each plan are described within the Application.
5.2 Payments and Billing
Premium subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). All payments are processed through the third-party application store from which you downloaded the Application (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play Store). You agree to their terms of service for payments.
5.3 Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time through the subscription management screen in the Application or through your app store account. The cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. Upon cancellation, your account will revert to the Basic plan. You will not lose any of your User Content. You will only lose access to Premium-only features.
5.4. Refund Policy

Marketplace Services
6.1 Terms for Users
The Marketplace is a venue that connects Users with independent, third-party Financial Advisors. You acknowledge that:
Planr’s role is limited to providing an advertising venue for Financial Advisors. While Planr may receive fees from agents for the privilege of advertising or for the initial connection to a user, Planr does not receive sales commissions from the specific products, financial services, or consultations (e.g., insurance premiums, investment management fees) sold by the advisor. This separation ensures that Planr remains a neutral marketplace and does not function as a regulated financial brokerage, consultancy, or insurance agency.
Your engagement with a Financial Advisor is a separate agreement between you and the advisor. Planr is not a party to this agreement and is not liable for any aspect of the consultation or advice provided.
Fees for consultations are paid through the Service but are for services rendered by the advisor.
Marketplace advisors are licensed financial professionals (MAS-licensed in Singapore; SEC-registered in Philippines) who provide personalized financial advice for a fee. This is different from Planr's automated planning tools (Section 3.2), which provide only general estimates.
License Verification: Before engaging a Financial Advisor, you are responsible for verifying the advisor’s credentials through the applicable regulatory authority, including the MAS (Singapore) or the SEC (Philippines). Planr does not guarantee the licensing status, qualifications, or quality of advice provided by any advisor. Planr may receive advertising or referral fees from advisors but does not receive commissions from the sale of financial products.
6.2 Terms for Financial Advisors
Individuals wishing to offer services as a Financial Advisor on the Marketplace must:
Submit an application and provide proof of valid, current professional licenses and certifications.
Successfully pass our verification process.
Maintain an active Planr Premium subscription.
Agree to conduct themselves professionally and ethically in all interactions with Users.
Planr reserves the right to approve, deny, or remove any Financial Advisor from the Marketplace at its sole discretion.
User Content and Conduct
You retain full ownership of the User Content you input into the Service. You grant the Company a limited license to use, store, and process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service for you.
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to input any information that is false, misleading, or infringes on the rights of others.
7.1 Prohibited Activities
You agree that you will not, and will not permit any third party to:
Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code, object code, or underlying structure, ideas, or algorithms of the Service;
Modify, translate, or create derivative works based on the Service;
Use the Service for timesharing or service bureau purposes or for any purpose other than your own personal use;
Use the Service to build a competitive product or service or to benchmark with a non-Planr product or service;
Remove any proprietary notices or labels from the Service.
Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of the Company and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the Philippines and Singapore, and foreign countries. Our trademarks may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of the Company.
8.1 Unsolicited Submissions
Planr does not accept or consider unsolicited ideas for new features, technologies, or product names. If you choose to submit feedback or ideas through the "Submit Feedback" feature:
You agree that your submissions and their contents will automatically become the property of the Company, without any compensation to you.
The Company may use or redistribute the submissions for any purpose and in any way.
There is no obligation for the Company to keep the submission confidential.
Termination
You may terminate this agreement at any time by deleting your Account through the Application. This action is permanent and will result in the irreversible deletion of your User Content, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may retain certain data as required by Philippine or Singapore law (e.g., tax, accounting, anti-money laundering records) or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, dispute resolution) for the period required by applicable law. After termination, we will not use your data except as permitted by law.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, without prior notice, for any conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users or the Company.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Company makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the reliability, accuracy, or availability of the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, any reliance on information provided by the Service or any engagement with a Financial Advisor found through the Marketplace. We are not a party to your agreement with any Financial Advisor, and we expressly disclaim all liability for the quality of their services, the accuracy of their advice, or any financial losses, damages, or other harm resulting from your interactions with them. Furthermore, where you choose to share your User Content with any third party, either through a feature on the Service or via other means, you do so at your own risk. The Company is not responsible for any data loss, theft, misuse, or any other damages that may arise once your data is outside of our direct control.
Furthermore, while Planr provides a secure infrastructure designed to protect your data, you are encouraged to maintain your anonymity within the Marketplace until such time as you are comfortable sharing personal details. Planr is not responsible for any identity theft or data misuse that occurs once you voluntarily share your contact information or personal documents with an agent outside of the Planr application environment.
To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine and Singapore law, Planr's total cumulative liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Planr in the 12 months preceding the claim, or SGD 100 / PHP 5,000 (whichever is greater). This cap applies to all claims regardless of cause (contract, tort, negligence, etc.).
10.1 Indemnification Clause
You agree to be responsible for any losses, damages, costs, or claims suffered by the Company arising from your breach of these Terms, violation of applicable law, misuse of the Platform, or infringement of any third-party rights. This includes reasonable legal costs incurred in responding to such claims.
Nothing in this clause requires the Company to indemnify you, except where required by applicable law.
10.2 No Warranty on Service Continuity
Planr does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. You acknowledge that the Service is a digital platform dependent on third-party infrastructure (such as cloud hosting and internet service providers) and that Planr is not responsible for any delays, delivery failures, or other damage resulting from such problems.
10.3 Force Majeure
The Company shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations hereunder for any period of time that such failure or delay is due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, war, strikes or labor disputes, embargoes, government orders, power failures, telecommunications or internet service provider failures, or any other force majeure event.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with: (a) If you are a resident of the Philippines: Laws of the Republic of the Philippines, including R.A. 7394 (Consumer Act) and R.A. 10173 (Data Privacy Act); (b) If you are a resident of Singapore: Laws of the Republic of Singapore, including CPFTA 2003 and PDPA 2012.
You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of: (a) Philippines: Courts of Cebu City (for Philippines residents and Filipino expatriates/OFWs); (b) Singapore: Courts of Singapore (for Southeast Asian clients except Philippines residents). Nothing in these Terms limits any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service, by email, or by other appropriate means before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.
